A Different Kind
of Support
Good Company was created to offer the kind of respite I believe families deserve — experienced, thoughtful support that goes beyond simply having someone there.
After years of working closely with autistic teens and adults, I’ve learned that the best support often comes from knowing how to read the moment. When to encourage. When to give space. When plans need to change. When someone needs a little extra patience, a different approach, or simply another person willing to meet them in their world for a while.
That’s what I mean by intuitive care.
It’s support grounded in experience, empathy, flexibility, and actually getting to know the person in front of me — their communication, routines, interests, sensory preferences, personality, and what makes a day feel good to them.
And sometimes, a good day means getting out there.
Good Company has access to a variety of local experiences that can be enjoyed for little to no additional cost, including museums, arboretums, gardens, cultural attractions, outdoor spaces, and other community destinations. That opens the door to days that can be interesting, engaging, and genuinely fun without every outing becoming another major expense for families.
We can revisit a favorite place, try something completely new, follow a special interest, grab lunch, spend the afternoon outside, make something at home, or do absolutely nothing ambitious at all.
The point isn't just to keep someone occupied.
It's to provide really good support and make more of life available along the way.
